Caring for your furniture
Heat sources
Where possible please avoid placing your furniture in front
of, or near direct heat. Wood is a natural product and whilst
our timber is well seasoned and dried as part of the production
process, any change in temperature will cause the wood to
shrink or expand. Placing a piece of furniture up against
a radiator will exaggerate this and may cause unsightly movement
and in some cases cracking in the wood. We would always recommend
at least a one metre distance from a heat source.
Polish
On a daily basis a simple dust is enough to keep your mandala
furniture in fine condition. We recommend that once a month
you apply a good quality beeswax / bison wax to timber furniture
pieces to keep it well nourished and safeguard against shrinkage.
Rub in and buff to a shine. Avoid using spray based products
as these do not tend to offer the nutritional value your furniture
craves.
